Aloha moulds are manufactured using 30 mil thick, high quality, durable crystal clear plastic which ensures many pours. They can be used for all types of soap-making (cold and hot process, rebatch and melt & pour).
Mould release
Allow melt and pour soaps to set up for at least 2 hours before releasing from the mould and cold process soaps should remain in the mould for 24 hours. Avoid using any force when releasing soap.
If you have difficulty removing your soap, place the mould in your freezer over night.
Adding 1-3% Sodium Lactate to CP soap batch will make your soap much easier to unmould. It makes soap much harder and will therefore contribute to extending the life of the soap once it hits the shower.
Before pouring your base into the mold, wait a few minutes to allow the base to cool. This will prevent warping or distortion of the plastic.
The moulds should be cleaned using warm tap water and soap (if they've been used for soapmaking, simply soak in warm water). Hot water, including dishwasher water may warp the plastic!
As well as making lovely bars of soaps, the moulds can also be used to create beautiful and original bath bombs, massage bars, etc.!!!! |
